WHAT TO EXPECT
While you are a
patient at Weskota Memorial Medical Center, we want to work with you to
provide the best possible care.
-
You can expect a towel
bath or shower daily.
-
You can expect to a
verbal response to your call light no longer than 5-10 minutes after you
turn it on. It is our goal to respond to your call light as quickly as
possible. Early notification of your needs is important.
-
You can expect
adequate pain relief. Measures to assure this include notifying your nurse
early regarding your need for pain medication. Early notification allows
your nurse to set up the medication, bring it to you, and prevent the pain
from getting too severe. It is also important that you let us know if your
medication is not working so we can provide other comfort measures. Please
inquire about pain medication before going to therapy.
-
You can expect to have
an active role in your nursing and medical care. Your healthcare team wants
to help you begin planning for discharge on the first day of your
hospitalization. The nurses and physicians will explain your care to you and
have you take an active role in preparing for discharge.
-
You can expect to be
treated with courtesy, respect, care, and dignity.
-
You can expect your
meals to be the correct temperature.
-
You can expect your
room to be kept clean and tidy.

and procedures to be performed in a timely manner. If there is a delay you
