YOUR SAFETY AND SECURITY

Personal items and valuables

Weskota Memorial cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged valuables, clothing or other personal property. We suggest that you either send them home or deposit jewelry and cash with the Business Office for safekeeping while you are in the hospital. Contact your nurse who can help you make arrangements for safekeeping of your personal items.

Medications

Your medications have been carefully prescribed by your physician. If you brought medications from home, please give them to your nurse when you are admitted. For your safety, it important that you do not take any medications from home unless you have your physician's permission.

If your doctor gives you a prescription, it can be filled at the pharmacy of your choice.

Identification

At admission time, you were given an identification bracelet. This helps you identify you to our staff. Please do not remove the bracelet until you are discharged.

Smoking

WMMC is a smoke-free facility. For your own safety and health, as well as the safety of those around you, we prohibit patients and visitors from smoking in any building on our campus. Smoking is permitted in designated areas outside the building only.

Oxygen

All rooms equipped with oxygen. Electrically operated equipment and aerosol products are not permitted in these areas.
