Thomas M. Dean, MD
Dr. Dean received his M.D. with distinction in
research from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in
Rochester NY in 1972. His internship and Family Practice residency
were completed at the University of Washington Hospital in Seattle,
Washington. Dr. Dean returned to his native Wessington Springs, SD
in 1978 as a National Health Service Corps physician. He sees
patients at the clinics in Wessington Springs, Woonsocket, and
Plankinton. Dr. Dean is board certified in Family Medicine and
specializes in child and adult medicine, geriatrics, orthopedics and
trauma, and preventive medicine. Dr Dean works part-time in issues
of health policy and medical leadership.

Kathryn R. Dean, Certified Nurse Midwife
Kathryn Dean received her nursing degree from
the University of Washington in Seattle and graduated from the
Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, KY in
1977. She came to Wessington Springs with her husband, Dr. Tom Dean,
in 1978 and continues her practice in women's health including,
pre-conception care, family planning and gynecology, and menopausal
care.

Lance Lim, MD, Medical Director
Dr. Lim is Medical Director of Horizon Health
Care, Inc. He attended the Cebu Institute of Medicine in the
Philippines, and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. He
recently completed a 12-month fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury
Medicine at the VA Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in West
Roxbury, MA. Dr. Lim will provide primary care services, as well as
special expertise in dealing with musculoskeletal problems such as
arthritis and the accompanying difficulties some patients experience
with ambulation, gait abnormalities, and the use of devices to
support treatment of these problems.

Terri Groves, Physician Assistant -
Certified Terri Groves received her
diploma in Nursing from St Joseph School of Nursing in Sioux City,
Iowa. She received a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management
from Bellevue University at Omaha, Nebraska in 2000, and in 2006
achieved her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the
University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
Ms. Groves sees patients in Wessington Springs and Woonsocket, where
she provides family medicine, emergency care, preventive medicine
and geriatric care. She has a special interest in cancer awareness
and prevention, and end-of-life issues. |
